HiWAAY offers various benefits to qualified Team Members in the forms of paid vacation, group health/dental care and life insurance, 401K profit sharing pension plan for deferring income tax, and a Flexible Benefit "cafeteria" plan for tax sheltering income used to pay certain types of personal expenses.
Vacations and Holidays - Our vacation policy is structured to reward Team Members as their length of service grows. At the end of their first year of full-time permanent employment, team members are eligible for 10 days of paid vacation leave. After seven years of uninterrupted service, Team Members are eligible for an additional five days, for a total of 15 days each year. After 10 years of uninterrupted service, employees are eligible for a total of 20 days of vacation each year. In addition, we observe six company paid holidays each year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Sick Leave - Paid sick leave is available to full-time Team Members after six (6) months of full-time employment. There are five (5) days sick leave authorized per calendar year.
Insurance - HiWAAY offers to full-time Team Members both optional group health/dental and optional group life insurance. BCBS health/dental insurance and major medical insurance are offered on a shared cost basis in which HiWAAY pays a portion of the premium. Both single and family plans are available. Life insurance and short-term and long-term disability are also available at a minimal group rate to individual Team Members
401k Profit Sharing Plan - HiWAAY offers to full-time Team Members a 401K profit sharing plan to which you may make an automatic contribution of your pre-tax gross income. The income taxes on these contributions are deferred until your retirement. The plan offers a spectrum of investment options based upon your financial goals. Full-time Team Members who have attained the age of 19 and have completed three months of service may enter the plan following the date on which eligibility is met, under the quarterly open enrollment schedule.
Flexible Benefit Plan - HiWAAY offers to full-time Team Members an optional plan for paying several types of specific personal expenses with pre-tax income, thereby sheltering the income used to pay these expenses from income taxes. You may elect to have automatic payroll deductions contributed to an account from which you may be reimbursed for medical related expenses not normally covered by insurance, as well as dependent care expenses, and even your health care insurance itself.
